Artefact
The freeholder of Artefact (corner of St M Rd and Talbot Rd) has gone into receivership and the premises are up for auction. There is apparent interest from an organic baker to take over the premises. In the meantime the building is in an unsafe condition and there is much accumulated rubbish on the site. We have been liaising with the council who are gradually helping to address the situation.
Police issues
The local police have expressed an interest in attending our meetings and we will be inviting them to the April one and thereafter once a quarter. You’ll be able to see from our email notices which meetings the police will be attending and as ever our meetings are open to all.
River Clearing
It’s that time again and Saturday 27th June will be River Clearing day this year. More details will be circulated soon but in the meantime please put the date in your diaries. This is an enjoyable event for families and all residents.
GASS 2009
Our ever popular annual street sale will be back on the 19th September so please make a note in your diaries. We’ll be taking registrations for stalls nearer to the date.
Dog Mess
There appears to be a recent problem with some dog owner(s) leaving small bags of dog mess on the pavement on several of our roads. This is clearly a significant health hazard to all and to children in particular. If you are a dog owner then please dispose of your bags in a bin and if you see anyone dropping their bags then please have a polite word.
Red Nose Day
Thanks to all those who donated at the BBQ and stall outside V Thomas butchers last week. The event raised £400 for Red Nose Day.
