One of our residents, Jacqui Bashford from Haliburton Road, is running in the Reading Half Marathon on 23rd March in aid of the British Heart Foundation. If you’re able to support this worth cause then Jacqui’s sponsorship page may be found at http://www.justgiving.com/Jacqui-Bashford

Local Communion Services

All Souls are inviting anyone who is interested to join them for a short service of communion at 12 midday, followed by a light lunch of soup and bread at 12.45pm. The services are held monthly and are on 12th April, 10th May & 7th June. For further information, contact the church office on 020 8891 6820

Good Friday Elevensies

All Souls are going to be serving “Elevensies” outside the church (if not raining - inside if it is!) on Good Friday (2nd April) following their all-age service at 10.30. People can just pitch up (no requirement to come to the service beforehand) and grab a hot-cross bun: they’re planning balloon-modeling and some other fun and games too..

Solicitors’ services

If anyone knows of a “reasonably priced” and fairly local solicitor that could help with a tenants-in-common-or joint-tenants agreement then please contact Surya Cooper at surya@blueyonder.co.uk

Neighbourhood Watch

We will shortly be distributing new distinctive Neighbourhood Watch stickers to each household in our area (Haliburton Road residents should have/be received these from Anne, your street coordinator). Imagine what a strong message it will send if EVERY house in our area displays this in their front windows or at their front door. Stickers will be distributed with the printed Heron newsletter shortly.
