Neighbourhood Watch Advisory
Be Vigilant - Local Incidents

There have been two incidents this week which highlight the need to be careful about allowing access to your home.
In the first, a woman, who appeared to have been drinking, pushed open an ajar front door and demanded money before she would leave. Two men stood in the front garden presumably to assist her. They eventually left without taking anything.
In the second, a woman knocked on a door, again appeared to have been drinking, and claimed that her son had had an accident and asked to use the toilet. Whilst in the house she took a bag containing passport, money, etc. that was by the front door.
The police are aware of both incidents.
Please take care to ensure your front door is fully closed and particularly when letting in anyone you don’t know. If in doubt or if you see anything suspicious, call 999.
