Photography Competition

The First NSMRA Photography competition. The theme is “where we live”. We hope as many people as possible will take part. The object is to produce a local calendar which captures the essence of our locality, but your imagination will provide the details.

The photographs will be displayed in the Church and judged on 11 September.

RULES

1. Entry to be in the form of a Print, preferably framed or mounted

Max size A4
Minimum size 7 × 5
Landscape format (this is because of the aim to produce a calendar)

There should be no means of identifying the entrant from the face of the print.

2. Digital file also to be supplied in any format, preferably a jpg saved at level 12 (max quality), or negative if a traditional process is used.
3. Deadline - 10 September 2010, to be delivered to 47 Newry Road and emailed to steve@stephenlloydphotography.co.uk.
4. Prizes to be arranged.
5. Classes (ages as at 1 September 2010):
under 12,
12-18,
over 18.
6. Copyright. NSMRA is allowed to use photos on website, e and paper Heron, and calendar with acknowledgement only.
7. Theme: “Where we live”
8. Digital and other manipulations allowed.
After the judging, the photographs will be exhibited, and the prints may be offered for sale.
9. Photographs the exhibition of which would or may be unlawful or offensive may be rejected.
10. The entry must be substantially the unaided work of the entrant or entrants (apart from any developing and/or printing), and where there is more than one entrant, the age of the eldest determines which class it may be entered for.
11. There is no entry fee.
12. The Judge will be local photographer Randall Webb.

NSMRA’s Committee reserves the right (to avoid any dispute):
a. To make any further or other Rules
b. To accept late entries
c. To determine conclusively whether any Rule has been complied with
